How to Contact the Author

Sandra Martin welcomes comments about her books, Breaking the "Sound" Barrier to Fluent Reading, Levels 1, 2, and 3 and Mathopedia, Levels 1 and 2. Sandra is available to speak at conferences or staff-development programs on the proper acquisition of phonemic awareness, phonics, reading-fluency instruction, the spelling of words that accompany these reading skills, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and inclusion.  Mrs. Martin also lectures about math skills that lead to long-term memory retention and higher test scores.  She uses a part-to-whole method and asserts that students can easily retain math skills when they are taught sequentially using all learning modalities.  Her expertise is with middle-school students, grades 5 – 8.  Her reading and math programs, however, are being used in all grade levels with students in regular education and special education.
